The APC supports projects, organizations and individuals in various countries of the world in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ through the Missions Committee. Many youth and young adults also participate in the Spring Service Project, which has gone to Romania and Egypt in the past. This year, the youth spring service project is returning to Egypt. A great amount of the projects is related to children and their well-being. Projects that make education possible, orphanages giving children a home and teaching them, foster children sponsored by church members and the children’s church program, as well as school projects in Bonn and around the world. Another main concern is the HIV-pandemic affecting millions of people all over the world especially, once more, the children left behind without parents. We are currently supporting many different mission projects, including Operation Mobilization, World Evangelistic Crusade (WEC), World Hope International, and Wycliff Bible Translators. As a congregation that fully supports itself through the tithes, offerings, and support of its friends and members, we believe firmly in tithing as a church. The APC promises to dedicate 12% of the real annual income of the congregation to mission work. One highlight of our mission work is the 2nd International Charity Fashion Show (ICFS2). Proceeds from the May 16th event go directly towards missions' projects the APC supports. If you are interested in or would like to support APC missions' projects, have suggestions, or would like to make a donation, please send an e-mail to Missions Committee. |
